About Joe
Videography, photography, music, writing, podcasting - I love it all, and I'm lucky enough to be able to incorporate all of it into my everyday life.

A film lover first and foremost, I first picked up a camera with the intent of making silly videos with my friends, and my relationship with the lens has only blossomed from there.
Since then, I've gone on to attain freelance work, intern on feature film and advertisement sets, took part in a jury at the Venice Film Festival, co-host on a podcast, and now I'm plying my trade in professional sport, but always looking for the next thing I can add my creative flair to.

Guess I'm not just your average Joe.
Main Projects

Content Producer
Through working as a content producer with one of Scotland's professional rugby teams, I've attained skills that are absolutely invaluable to me.

I began with handling all video and photo content, but in my three years I've gone on to lead on season ticket campaigns, kit launches, various content series, and ticket campaigns for one of rugby's oldest derby's; the 1872 Cup.

In 2023/24 we saw a record of season ticket sales, as well as record sales for the 1872 Cup, beating the previous number by more than ten thousand tickets, both of which are campaigns that I took creative lead on from a video perspective.

Social Lead
Currently I'm the social lead for the rugby 7s invitational team Hearts & Balls Might Bovs. Initially founded as the Mighty Bovs by players at Stewart's Melville RFC, the charity Hearts & Balls took on the team to represent them in invitational tournaments across the UK and the world at large.

As social lead I take charge of the instagram page and contribute all video and photo content, which has gone as far as to be showcased by Melrose 7s, the oldest tournament in the world.

Content Manager
Worked as content manager and producer for Berlin based band Alien Grace during their two week tour of Malta and Gozo.

Produced reels and still photography captured from all the shows played and posted to the bands Instagram page.

In that time, the page saw a 460% increase in accounts reached, a 49% increase in accounts engaged, and a follower increase of 5.6%.

In this period, I also filmed a music video for the band which will be released in due time.
Youtube Channel
In a recent bid to boost my creative output, I decided to launch my own Youtube channel. Through this, I'm able to practice my editing and film criticism, as well as my ability to speak on camera and interview people.

In the short time the channel has been up, I've accrued 50 subscribers with only 9 videos so far, and I've got plans to expand the channel beyond film reviews.

Most recently, I interviewed the guitarist of Berlin based band Alien Grace, and my intention is to find other subjects to this with in the future.

Social Media Manager
Charged with managing the social media pages for Stewart's Melville Rugby Football Club, mainly concerned with Instagram and Facebook.

The management entails creating team and promotional event graphics, and always ensuring the club is promoted with its values at heart.
